The 2020 primary election is one year from today (Sunday).

HD125 special: The five-day early voting period begins tomorrow (Monday) for the runoff election between Fred Rangel and former San Antonio council member Ray Lopez.

HD145 special: Early voting has concluded for the special runoff election. During the five-day period, a total of 1,417 people voted, 998 in person and 419 by mail. This is almost exactly the same number of people who voted early during the 12-day early voting period for the January special election. Early turnout is just south of 2%. CD10: Austin physician Pritesh Gandhi established a campaign committee for a potential challenge of U.S. Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Austin) as a Democrat.

CD13: Amarillo nuclear power consultant Greg Sagan, who received 17% of the vote in the 2018 general election against U.S. Rep. Mac Thornberry (R-Clarendon), announced he would run again in 2020.

CD31: Round Rock accountant Omar Kadir established a campaign committee for a potential challenge of U.S. Rep. John Carter (R-Round Rock) as a Democrat. Kadir unsuccessfully ran for Williamson Co. treasurer (45%) in 2018.
