- CD6: Joe Barton 57, Steven Fowler 37
- CD26: Michael Burgess 58, Micah Beebe 22, Joel Krause 20
- RRC: Wayne Christian 40, Weston Martinez 17, Ron Hale 15, John Greytok 11, Gary Gates 10
- SC3: Debra Lehrmann 64, Mike Massengale 36
- SC5: Rick Green 61, Paul Green 39

Cruz’s first-place finish in the presidential straw poll is unsurprising, but he was under 50%, and Trump placed a strong second. In general, Tea Party candidates fared well, which made Lehrmann’s margin over Massingale surprising. Stickland and Tinderholt scored well, but French’s 10-point win over Geren was surprisingly low.
