AG (Lean R): The National Rifle Assoc. endorsed Atty. Gen. Ken Paxton (R), who received an A+ grade from the group. The group rated his primary challengers Land Comm. George P. Bush (R) as A, U.S. Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Tyler) as A- and former Supreme Court Justice Eva Guzman (R) as AQ, its passing grade for candidates whose rating was rating is based solely upon answers to their questionnaire. Grassroots America We the People endorsed Gohmert.
Paxton’s campaign released a new ad, “Brave,” featuring former President Trump’s endorsement, which he reiterated at a recent rally in Conroe.
COMP (Likely R): The Houston Chronicle endorsed Comp. Glenn Hegar (R) and Janet Dudding (D) for their respective party’s nominations.
LAND open (Likely R): The Dallas Morning News endorsed Don Minton (R) and Jay Kleberg (D) for their respective party’s nominations. The Houston Chronicle endorsed Jon Spiers (R) and Kleberg. The San Antonio Express-News endorsed Ben Armenta (R) and Kleberg.
