Rep. Ina Minjarez (D-San Antonio) announced she would run to succeed retiring Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff (D). She had previously expressed interest in the race. “I’ve always fought for our everyday neighbors,” Minjarez said. “I know the best place for me to lead the fight is as the next Bexar county judge.”

Minjarez becomes the 21st House member and 25th legislator elected to the 87th Legislature who has announced plans to not return for 2023.
