After just a few months on the job, Dallas Co. Republican Chair Mark Montgomery resigned, citing “recent changes in my personal life that will inhibit my ability” to serve as chair. Hours later, Rep. Jason Villalba (R-Dallas) tweeted a swipe at Sen. Don Huffines (R-Dallas):

Huffines was a significant contributor to Villalba’s primary opponent and paid for several mail pieces attacking Villalba.
