CD3 open: Gov. Greg Abbott endorsed Sen. Van Taylor (R-Plano)

CD10: Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick endorsed U.S. Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Austin).

CD16 open: Emily’s List endorsed Veronica Escobar.

CD19: Citing the recent birth of his daughter and the demands of fatherhood, Lubbock university professor Dan Epstein has withdrawn from the race to challenge U.S. Rep. Jodey Arrington (R-Lubbock). Epstein was the first candidate to declare his intention to run as a Democrat. His decision to withdraw leaves Lubbock university professor Miguel Levario as the sole challenger currently in the race.

CD25: Austin attorney Chris Perri updated his campaign committee and announced he would run for CD25, currently represented by U.S. Rep. Roger Williams (R-Austin), instead of CD21, currently represented by U.S. Rep. Lamar Smith (R-San Antonio), as a Democrat. Perri is the fourth Democratic candidate to withdraw from the CD21 race, leaving a field of six current candidates.
