LTGOV: The Corpus Christi Caller-Times endorsed Democratic challenger Mike Collier over Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R).

AG: A WPAi poll conducted this week shows Atty. Gen. Ken Paxton (R) leading Democratic challenger Justin Nelson, 50%-38%. No other information was provided.

Meanwhile, the Corpus Christi Caller-Times endorsed Nelson.

COMP: The Corpus Christi Caller-Times endorsed Comptroller Glenn Hegar (R).

LAND: The Houston Chronicle endorsed Democratic challenger Miguel Suazo over Comm. George P. Bush. The Corpus Christi Caller-Times endorsed Bush.

AGRIC: The Corpus Christi Caller-Times and Waco Tribune endorsed Democratic challenger Kim Olson over Comm. Sid Miller (R).

RRC: The San Antonio Express-News and Corpus Christi Caller-Times endorsed Comm. Christi Craddick.

Courts: The San Antonio Express-News endorsed incumbent Justices Jeff Brown and John Devine, and it endorsed Democratic challenger Steven Kirkland over Justice Jimmy Blacklock. The Corpus Christi Caller-Times endorsed the three Democrats challenging incumbent Republican justices. For the Court of Criminal Appeals, the Express-News and Caller-Times endorsed Democratic challenger Terri Jackson over Presiding Judge Sharon Keller. The Caller-Times endorsed the other two Republican incumbents on the court, and the Express-News endorsed Judge Barbara Hervey (R).

HD34: The Corpus Christi Caller-Times endorsed Rep. Abel Herrero (D-Corpus Christi).

HD43: The Corpus Christi Caller-Times endorsed Rep. J.M. Lozano (R-Kingsville).

HD118 open: The San Antonio Express-News endorsed Democratic nominee Leo Pacheco.

HD122: The San Antonio Express-News endorsed Rep. Lyle Larson (R-San Antonio).

EYE-PAC: The Texas Ophthalmological Assoc. EYE-PAC released its list of general election endorsements (PDF). The group mostly endorsed incumbents or open-seat candidates of the incumbent’s party. Exceptions included Nathan Johnson, the Democratic challenger against Sen. Don Huffines (R-Dallas), and Democratic nominee John Turner for open HD114.

SEN: The Houston Chronicle, San Antonio Express-News and Corpus Christi Caller-Times endorsed U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-El Paso) over U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R).

CD7: The Lizzie Pannill Fletcher (D) campaign released a new ad, “Change That,” featuring the candidate talking directly to camera addressing negative ads running against her.

CD21 open: The San Antonio Express-News endorsed Democratic nominee Joseph Kopser.

CD22: The Sri Preston Kulkarni (D) campaign released a new ad, “Washed Away,” criticizing U.S. Rep. Pete Olson’s record in Congress.

CD27: The Corpus Christi Caller-Times endorsed U.S. Rep. Michael Cloud (R-Victoria).

CD35: The San Antonio Express-News endorsed U.S. Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-Austin).
