TLR Endorsements: The Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC announced its endorsements for the general election. All but one of the endorsed candidates are Republicans, and all but one of them running for statewide or legislative office have a Democratic opponent and are either incumbents or candidates running for a Republican-held seat. The exception is CCA2 nominee Mary Lou Keel, who is challenging incumbent Judge Lawrence Meyers, who switched parties a couple of years ago and is the lone Democratic statewide elected official (He was elected as a Republican.).

RRC: Gov. Greg Abbott endorsed former Rep. Wayne Christian (R-Center).

SD20: The Corpus Christi Caller-Times endorsed Sen. Juan Hinojosa (D-McAllen).

HD43: The Corpus Christi Caller-Times endorsed Rep. J.M. Lozano (R-Kingsville).

HD64 open: The Dallas Morning News endorsed Lynn Stucky.

HD65: The Dallas Morning News endorsed Rep. Ron Simmons (R-Lewisville).

HD66: The Dallas Morning News endorsed Rep. Matt Shaheen (R-Plano).

HD101: Texas Values Action endorsed challenger Charlie Garza.

Austin: Texans for Fiscal Responsibility/Empower Texans endorsed incumbent Don Zimmerman.
