Early voting in person begins Monday.

MPACT: The Texas Assoc. of Manufacturers MPACT announced its endorsement of 29 incumbent legislators and open-seat candidates of the current incumbent’s party. All endorsed candidates were Republicans except for Sen. Chuy Hinojosa (D-McAllen) and Rep. Celia Israel (D-Austin).

TREPAC: The Texas Assoc. of Realtors TREPAC announced its slate of general election endorsements (pdf). The group endorsed in almost all races, whether contested or not, and endorsed no challengers. All endorsements were for the incumbent or, for open seats, the candidate of the incumbent’s party. The group made no endorsement for RRC (Former Rep. Wayne Christian versus Grady Yarbrough and two others), HD46 (Rep. Dawnna Dukes versus Gabe Nila and two others), HD60 open (Mike Lang unopposed), HD73 open (Kyle Biedermann unopposed) and HD115 (Rep. Matt Rinaldi versus Dorotha Ocker). In all but HD46, the group previously endorsed a candidate in the primary who did not prevail.

PRES: The Waxahachie Daily Light endorsed Donald Trump.

HD78: The El Paso Times endorsed Rep. Joe Moody (D-El Paso).

CD3: The Dallas Morning News endorsed U.S. Rep. Sam Johnson (R-Plano).

CD26: The Dallas Morning News endorsed U.S. Rep. Michael Burgess (R-Lewisville).

CD30: The Dallas Morning News endorsed U.S. Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-Dallas).
