HD77 open: The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Assoc. endorsed Adolfo Lopez.
HD92: The Texas Municipal Police Assoc. endorsed challenger Scott Fisher. The group endorsed Rep. Jonathan Stickland’s (R-Bedford) primary challenger in 2014.
HD116 open: The San Antonio Express-News endorsed Martin Golando.
HD118: The San Antonio Express-News endorsed Gabe Farias in the Democratic primary. The paper previously endorsed Farias for the special election. When he did not make the runoff, the paper endorsed John Lujan over Tomas Uresti, who is Farias’ current primary opponent. Later, Anthony Alcoser, who finished 5th in the special election, tweeted that the paper “endorsed the right man for the job. Happy to support my friend @gabefarias.”
