SD19: The Texas Farm Bureau’s AGFUND endorsed Sen. Carlos Uresti (D-San Antonio).

HD14: Young Conservatives of Texas endorsed challenger Jess Fields. The group previously endorsed Bob Yancy for the 2011 special election won by Rep. John Raney (R-College Station).

HD27: The Houston Chronicle endorsed challenger Steve Brown.
HD54 open: Young Conservatives of Texas endorsed Larry Smith.
HD64 open: Young Conservatives of Texas endorsed Read King. The group previously endorsed King for his 2014 primary challenge against Rep. Myra Crownover (R-Denton) and also endorsed Crownover’s 2012 primary challenger, Mike Brucia.
HD71 open: Abilene council members Bruce Kreitler and Steve Savage endorsed Chris Carnohan. Young Conservatives of Texas also endorsed Chris Carnohan. The group previously endorsed Isaac Castro for his 2014 primary challenge against Rep. Susan King (R-Abilene). Castro is running for her open seat this year.
