HD42: Laredo resident Luis De La Garza filed paperwork re-establishing a campaign committee for a potential challenge of Rep. Richard Raymond (D-Laredo). His occupation and partisan affiliation are unclear. His prior campaign committee filed no campaign finance reports, suggesting an aborted run for office in around 2012.

CD2: Houston resident Nikolus Gianukos filed paperwork establishing a campaign committee for a potential challenge of U.S. Rep. Ted Poe (R-Humble) as a Democrat.
