RRC open: The San Antonio Express-News reiterated its endorsement of Gary Gates. The Corpus Christi Caller-Times endorsed Gates for the Republican nomination and Cody Garrett for the Democratic nomination.
CCA: The Dallas Morning News and the San Antonio Express-News endorsed Mary Lou Keel and Scott Walker. The Corpus Christi Caller-Times endorsed Keel for Place 2 and made no endorsement for Place 5.
SD1 open: The Tyler Morning Telegraph endorsed Rep. Bryan Hughes (R-Mineola)
HD5 open: The Tyler Morning Telegraph endorsed Jay Misenheimer.
HD54 open: The Texas Health Care Assoc. PAC endorsed Scott Cosper.
HD128: Harris Co. Commissioner Jack Morman endorsed Rep. Wayne Smith (R-Baytown).
