PRES: The Dallas Morning News’s Jamie Lonegrove tweeted total campaign contributions to presidential nominees from Texas in the last three election cycles. He determined that Hillary Clinton’s $18.3M is almost equal to Barack Obama’s 2012 efforts ($18.6M) and ahead of his 2008 pace ($16.9M). Donald Trump’s $10M is well behind John McCain in 2008 ($17.6M) is way behind Mitt Romney’s $44.0M in 2012. All figures include only contributions made to the candidate’s campaign account through September 30 of the respective election year.
