PRES: The Dallas Morning News’s Jamie Lonegrove tweeted total campaign contributions to presidential nominees from Texas in the last three election cycles. He determined that Hillary Clinton’s $18.3M is almost equal to Barack Obama’s 2012 efforts ($18.6M) and ahead of his 2008 pace ($16.9M). Donald Trump’s $10M is well behind John McCain in 2008 ($17.6M) is way behind Mitt Romney’s $44.0M in 2012. All figures include only contributions made to the candidate’s campaign account through September 30 of the respective election year.

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Express-News’s David Saleh Rauf tweeted that the Clinton campaign’s ad buy on local stations in Texas was less than $50K.

RRC: In an email blast to supporters, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz encouraged them “to vote straight-ticket Republican, including Wayne Christian for Texas Railroad Commissioner.”

HD23: The Texas Parent PAC endorsed the challenger, former Rep. Lloyd Criss (D-La Marque).

HD26: The Texas Parent PAC endorsed challenger Sarah DeMerchant.

Austin: Texas Values Action endorsed council member Don Zimmerman for re-election. He has also been endorsed by Texans for Fiscal Responsibility/Empower Texans.
