Early Voting concludes tomorrow for the November 7 general and constitutional amendment election. Turnout statewide remains south of 2%.

LTGOV: Rockwall businessman and former council member Scott Milder announced he would challenge Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick in the Republican primary. We previously reported that Milder had formed a campaign committee for the race.

SD2: Sen. Bob Hall (R-Edgewood) reiterated that he would seek re-election and not run for the open CD5 seat being vacated by U.S. Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-Dallas).

SD8 open: The Phillip Huffines campaign issued a statement that he remains “100% committed” to running for the senate seat and would not run for the open CD5 seat.

HD36: Rep. Sergio Muñoz Jr. announced he would seek re-election.

HD62 open: The Reggie Smith campaign announced he had been endorsed by Fannin Co. Sheriff Mark Johnson, Delta Co. Sheriff Ricky Smith and Grayson Co. Sheriff Tom Watt.

HD91: North Richland Hills tech consultant Jeromey Sims established a campaign committee for a potential challenge of Rep. Stephanie Klick (R-Fort Worth) as a Democrat.
