SEN: U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz said he would seek re-election in 2018 and reactivated his federal Ted Cruz for Senate campaign committee.
AG: The Ken Paxton campaign released a 4-minute video, “I’m Standing and Fighting,” in which Paxton denies the criminal charges against him (“These charges are false, and I will prevail against them in court.”) and discusses his challenges to the Obama administration. A hearing is scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday) as the Fifth Court of Appeals considers whether the indictments against him should be overturned.
