SD24 open: Hamilton Co. Comm. Dickie Clary endorsed Dawn Buckingham. She came in fourth in Hamilton Co. with 17% in the primary.

HD33 open: The Rockwall Co. Republican Men’s Club endorsed Justin Holland. According to Holland, he is the first recipient of a state-level endorsement from the group in 38 years.

HD54 open: Rep. Jimmie Don Aycock (R-Killeen) endorsed Scott Cosper.

HD139 open: Rep. Garnet Coleman (D-Houston) endorsed Kimberly Willis.

CD8: U.S. Rep. Kevin Brady (R-The Woodlands) reported raising $1.1 million between February 11 and March 31, bringing his total for the cycle to $2.9 million. Brady won a four-way primary outright with 53% of the vote and is now unopposed for re-election.

CD19 open: Jodey Arrington out-raised Glen Robertson, $278K to $38K, between February 11 and March 31, but Robertson has a slight advantage in cash on hand ($292K to $247K) thanks to more than $600K in loans. Arrington has out-raised Robertson for the campaign cycle, $628K to $231K, but Robertson has outspent Arrington, $1.1M to $416K.

CD23: U.S. Rep. Will Hurd (R-San Antonio) reported raising $413K since his pre-primary report and has $1.35 million on hand, as of March 31. He has raised nearly $2.2 million this cycle. A report from former U.S. Rep. Pete Gallego (D-Alpine) was not available on the FEC’s website, but media reports indicate he raised around $265K since his pre-primary report.
