RRC open: The Austin American-Statesman endorsed Gary Gates for the Republican nomination and declined to endorse for the Democratic nomination.
SD24 open: The Dawn Buckingham campaign announced the endorsement of Blanco Co. Comms. Paul Granberg and James Sultemeier. Buckingham finished third there in the primary with 19% of the vote. Her runoff opponent, Rep. Susan King (R-Abilene), finished first in Blanco Co. with 23% of the vote. Brent Mayes (21%) and Jon Cobb (19%) finished second and fourth, respsectively. Cobb has endorsed King.
HD27: The Houston Chronicle endorsed challenger Angelique Bartholomew.
HD120 open: The Texas Health Care Assoc. PAC endorsed Barbara Gervin-Hawkins.
HD128: The Wayne Smith campaign released a new video, “Pro-Life,” featuring Texas Alliance for Life’s Joe Pojman describing Smith as a “pro-life champion.”
