HD146 open: In a recent post, we somehow got a week ahead of ourselves as we erroneously reporting that precinct chairs would meet today, July 30, to choose a replacement nominee for Rep. Borris Miles (D-Houston). The meeting is, as we have previously reported, scheduled for Saturday, August 6. We regret the error and apologize for any confusion it caused.

HD120 open: A total of 221 people voted early in person for Tuesday’s special runoff election. This number excludes ballot-by-mail voters, who we expect will represent the largest bloc of voters in what may be the lowest-turnout special runoff election in at least 20 years. Tuesday is Election Day.
