SD18 Special Election. Early voting begins tomorrow. Rep. Lois Kolkhorst received the endorsements of Gov. Rick Perry, CLEAT, the Texas Municipal Police Assoc. and her hometown paper, the Brenham Banner-Press.
HD17 Special Election. Bastrop business owner Brent Golemon filed a campaign treasurer appointment with the Texas Ethics Commission to run in the to-be-called special election for Rep. Tim Kleinschmidt’s seat. Golemon is an elected director of the Bastrop Co. Water Control & Improvement Dist. No. 2.
Miller Adds Two Reps. Reps. Bill Callegari and Allan Ritter are joining Comm.-elect Sid Miller’s leadership team at the Agriculture Dept. Neither sought re-election this year.
