State and legislative candidates were required to file 8-day-out campaign finance reports yesterday. The full reports are not yet available online, but we’re able to report summary totals for most candidates this morning. In this post, we summarize some of the hottest House primary races involving incumbents with one week to go to Election Day. Candidates are listed in decreasing order of contributions for the period (Jan. 22-Feb. 20) covered by the reports.

George Lavender raised $128K, spent $54K and has $10K on hand.
Rep. Gary VanDeaver raised $127K, spent $103K and has $437K on hand.

Lavender added $20K in new loan principal. Lavender spent less than half of what he brought in, suggesting significant in-kind contributions.

Rep. Dan Flynn raised $163K, spent $103K and has $126K on hand.
Bryan Slaton raised $59K, spent $52K and has $31K on hand.

Flynn raised more in the last month ($163K) than for the 2015-16 cycle up to this point ($159K).

Rep. Stuart Spitzer raised $60K, spent $96K and has $66K on hand.
Lance Gooden raised $48K, spent $45K and has $36K on hand.

The pair spent more than $1 million in the last month. Cook raised nearly as much for the period ($353K) as for the 2015-16 cycle up to this point ($390K), and he has now spent more than $1.15 million on the race.
