HD73: Rep. Doug Miller (R-New Braunfels) raised $384K and spent $232K since the March 1 primary, both well ahead of challenger Kyle Biedermann’s $101K raised and $113K spent. Miller has out-raised Biedermann more than 5-to-1 for the election cycle, and Miller holds a $168K advantage in cash on hand.

Empower Texans PAC is Biedermann’s largest single donor ($40K). Going into the primary, 70% of Biedermann’s contributions came from district zip codes. In the runoff report, Biedermann received contributions from at least 140 district residents. We will take a closer look at district contributions later this week.
HD128: Wayne Smith (R-Baytown) out-raised challenger Briscoe Cain more than 5-to-1 since the primary and outspent him more than 8-to-1. Smith enters the campaign’s final days with nearly $200K more on hand.
