The campaign of Speaker Joe Straus has released its first television ad, “Business Owner.”
In the ad, local business owner Mike Aikens thanks Straus for his leadership in the fight for lower taxes and less regulations.
The San Antonio Express-News’ David Saleh Rauf reports that Straus’ campaign has spent at least $215K to secure more than 550 spots on local broadcast and cable television through the end of February.
Straus is facing two primary opponents: Sheila Bean, co-owner of an aviation business, and Jeff Judson, a State Republican Executive Committee member and former Oleos Park council member and Texas Public Policy Foundation president.
