Today is the last day for candidates to collect campaign contributions for inclusion in their year-end (federal) or January semiannual (state and local) campaign finance reports. These reports will be the first of three reports issued after the filing period, which ended December 14, and the March 1 primary. All State and legislative officeholders and candidates, and local candidates required to report their contributions, must file their January semiannual reports with the Texas Ethics Commission by January 15. Federal officeholders and candidates file their year-end reports by January 31.
