It appears that no Democratic candidates filed for county offices in 118 counties, based on data provided to the Secretary of State by local and state parties. Republicans make up roughly 63% of judicial candidates on the 2016 ballot. At least one person filed to be a Republican county chair in 230 counties, and at least one Democrat filed in 152 counties. At the precinct level, 1,000 more Republicans filed for precinct chair than Democrats.
