I lost my password!

From the MEMBERS HOME page, click the “Sign in” link under “Your account” at the top right of the screen. A dialog box will appear over the page. At the bottom of that dialog box, you’ll see “Forgot your password?” Click the “Reset it” link, and you will be given an opportunity to reset your password.


How do I susbcribe?

From any page of www.txelects.com, click the SUBSCRIBE link and choose a subscription type from the drop-down menu.

When you click on either subscription type, a “Complete your order” screen appears. The one shown below is for the annual subscription.


You’ll notice that the subscription price now has sales tax included. Texas Election Source is a taxable service under Texas law. If you are a tax-exempt organization, please select the TAX EXEMPT ORGS option for your subscription plan.


Your username will be the email address you enter into this form. Please choose a password you will remember. Enter your credit card payment information.

If you have a coupon code, please enter it (It is case sensitive.). Once you’ve entered the coupon code, click the “Apply” button. You will see the new, discounted price on the screen.

Click the “Place your order:” button to purchase and complete the registration process.

You will receive an invoice via email sent to the email address you used at registration. It doesn’t look very fancy, but it’s official. I’m happy to send you a more aesthetically pleasing version if you like.

Click the “MEMBERS HOME” link at the top of the home page.

step5Look for the “Your account” heading on the upper right of the page. Click on “Sign in”.


Enter your email address and password (Same as the ones you entered in the “Complete your order” dialog box form) and click “Sign me in!” If you’ve forgotten your password, click the “Reset it” link.


And you’re in!

Our most recent news and analysis is posted on the left. Upcoming dates, our recent Tweets and our archives (by date and category) are located on the right, below the Search box. At the top, you’ll see a link to our Crib Sheets.


What if I want to add another user from my organization?

We offer discounts for additional users from an organization once the first user has registered and has an active subscription. If you have one or just a few additional users, have your additional user(s) use the same registration process and use the coupon code ADDUSERS to receive the correct price for additional users (50% off the full price).

If you have quite a few members in your organization, email us at [email protected] to discuss a custom subscription plan.


Can I pay by check?

Yes, for annual subscriptions only. Send a check for $216.49 ($199.99 subscription price plus sales tax) to:

When we receive it, we will activate your subscription. Want your subscription started sooner? Email us at [email protected] and let us know you want to pay by check.

What other payment methods do you take? Can I pay using PayPal?

Right now, we prefer to take credit cards payments and can accept checks. Sorry, we are not able to accept PayPal or other online payment service.


I’m a tax-exempt organization. Is there an option for subscribing without paying sales tax.

Yes. In step 3 of the registration process, apply the coupon code TAXEXEMPT and it will remove the sales tax. We reserve the right to request a copy of your tax exempt certificate, and we remind you that falsely claiming exemption from sales taxes can subject you to criminal perjury charges.


When is my subscription up for renewal?

When you are signed into the site, go to the MEMBERS HOME page and look for “Your account” at the top right of the page. Click on “Account”. A dialog box will appear over the page. Click on the “Subscriptions” button. You will see your account type and the renewal date.

Does my subscription automatically renew?

It does, but you can change this setting. Follow the instructions in “When is my subscription up for renewal?” and click “Turn off auto-renewal” to prevent your subscription from renewing automatically.


What do you do with my credit card information?

Nothing. We use a third-party vendor to manage subscriptions and process credit cards. We at Texas Election Source never have access to your credit card information.

What do you do with my private information?

We don’t share it, except to the extent that our third-party vendors need it to process your subscription and payment. We won’t sell it. We may use it for our own internal evaluations of how the website is working. We may choose to reach out to some of you individually at the email address you used to register to obtain feedback about our service, but we will not share that email address with others.
