A few things we wanted to share with you today:
HD121: Former Texas Public Policy Foundation President Jeff Judson announced he would challenge Speaker Joe Straus (R-San Antonio) in the primary. He has been challenged in each of the last two primaries by Matt Beebe, who appears to be running again, and received more than 60% of the vote each time. He has otherwise been unopposed since winning a 2005 special election with 62% of the vote. Beebe raised just over $100K in his 2014 bid. Judson may have the resources to fund a complete primary campaign. Speaker Straus has $8.2 million on hand.
