A few things we wanted to share with you today:
HD124 Runoff Called. Gov. Greg Abbott called a special runoff election for April 21 to fill the unexpired House term of Sen. Jose Menendez. Early voting begins Monday, and the candidates’ runoff campaign finance reports are also due on that day. Fewer than 2,000 people voted in the first round.
Meanwhile, Annie’s List conducted a phone bank and organized some get out the vote activities on behalf of Ina Minjarez today. The Mexican American Democrats of Texas endorsed Delicia Herrera.
San Antonio Mayor. Six candidates participated in a forum hosted by the San Antonio Tea Party, Alamo City Republican Women and the Republican Men’s Club. Joining the four frontrunners were Cynthia Brehm and Paul Martinez. According to the San Antonio Express-News‘ John W. Gonzalez, it is the 31st mayoral forum in just over two months.
