Early voting begins Monday and runs through May 3 for the May 7 uniform elections and the HD120 and HD139 special elections.

Mayors
Cedar Park – incumbent Matt Powell faces university professor Marshall Bennett, who is waging a write-in candidacy. Former Rep. Corbin Van Arsdale is unopposed for re-election for city council.
Colleyville – incumbent David Kelly faces former mayor Richard Newton.
Duncanville – Incumbent David Green faces former council member Mark Cooks.
Flower Mound – Incumbent Tom Hayden faces computer software engineer Janvier Scott and Jim Berendt.
Galveston – incumbent Jim Yarbrough faces Bill Quiroga, who ran unsuccessfully for mayor in 2010 and city council in 2012.
Hurst – incumbent Richard Ward faces Joel Downs and former city finance director Anita Thetford. Downs has been endorsed by Empower Texans.
Keller – incumbent Mark Mathews faces recall.
Lubbock – open-seat race between former Lubbock Co. Comm. Ysidro Gutierrez, council member Victor Hernandez, council member Todd Klein and Lubbock ISD trustee Dan Pope.
Pelican Bay – incumbent Bill Morley faces Fish Wrinkle.
Propositions
Austin – Prop 1 would repeal a current city ordinance regulating transportation network companies and replace it with new language.
Fort Worth – Prop 1 would increase mayor and council member terms to 3 years from 2 years, while Prop 2 would add two additional council members.
Galveston – Prop 1 would increase mayor and council member terms to 3 years from 2 years.
