A few things we wanted to share with you today:

Meanwhile, Elgin resident Ralf David Glass also filed a campaign treasurer appointment with the Texas Ethics Commission. This is likely the David Glass who spearheaded community efforts to bring an Austin Community College campus to Elgin. That David Glass also served on the Elgin ISD Board of Trustees and chaired the Elgin Chamber of Commerce. He owns the Elgin General Store.

Bastrop business owner Brent Golemon and Bastrop educator Ty McDonald have previously announced their candidacies.

Also, the Caldwell Co. Republican Women have scheduled a candidates’ forum for February 16.

Fundraising Deadline. Saturday is the last day for state elected officials and legislators (not otherwise running in special elections) to accept campaign contributions.
