RRC: Christian 53-39 | Libertarian Miller at 4.99%

Five House incumbents — Galindo, Lujan, Peña, Sheets and L. Thompson — continue to trail. R. Anderson continues to hold a narrow lead.

Statewide Democrat CCA judge Meyers is trailing.

Hurd continues to lead. All other Congressional races easily being won by incumbents or open seat candidate of incumbent’s party.

HD23: Faircloth 58-42 thanks to 85-15 margin in Chambers Co. early vote. Faircloth leads Galveston Co. by 418 votes.

HD105: Anderson has 128-vote advantage in early vote in precincts not yet reporting, leads Meza by 633 votes.

HD107: Sheets has 461-vote advantage in early vote in precincts not yet reporting, but trails Neave by 881 votes.

General Election Update – 10:30 p.m.

Trump’s lead has stretched to 9 points, 52.6-43.5, with 50% of precincts reporting.

Libertarian RRC candidate Mark Miller at 5.04% with 50% of precincts reporting. Needs 5% to give party automatic access to 2018 ballot. He will not fare as well in the more rural counties, some of which have not reported any results yet.

HD115: Matt Rinaldi defeats Dorotha Ocker, 51-49, a closer race than expected.

Jim Wells Co.
Trump has 48% of the vote. Romney got 41% in 2012. Population is 80% Hispanic/Latino. Obama won the county by 1,900 votes in 2012. Clinton leads it by 154 votes with 14 precincts out. In HD43, Lozano leads Garcia-Utley, 60%-40%, in the county. In 2012, he lost the county, 58%-42%.
