With 100% of precincts reporting, we have Creighton winning, 67%-33%. He will complete Tommy Williams’ term and be up for re-election in 2016.
9:10 p.m.
By our count of precincts involved in the election, the only boxes left are in Harris Co., and Creighton continues to hover around 70%:
- Montgomery: Creighton 64-36
- Jefferson: Creighton 71-29
- Chambers: Creighton 78-22
- Galveston: Creighton 80-20
The SoS office shows significantly more precincts out, but we believe they are counting as out precincts that are outside the district in Montgomery Co.

Rep. Brandon Creighton continues to hold a 69%-31% lead with 66% of precincts reporting.
8:10 p.m.
No election day results yet, but Chambers Co. has reported its early votes. Creighton still leads Toth, 70%-30%.
7:35 p.m.
Rep. Brandon Creighton leads Rep. Steve Toth, 70%-30%, through early voting in all but Chambers Co.
Creighton took early voting in Montgomery Co., 67%-33%.
