The campaign of Gov. Greg Abbott announced he raised around $7 million during the last six months of the year, bringing his year-to-date total to around $15 million. Over the last three years, Abbott has raised nearly $63 million. Since 1995, he has raised more than $105 million.
To put this in perspective, former Gov. Rick Perry raised a total of $135 million for his state campaigns since 1993. His biggest three-year total was $46 million, which he recorded from 2008 to 2010. Perry was governor for 14 of those years. Abbott has been governor for one.
