CD17 open: Reps. Ben Leman (R-Iola) and John Raney (R-Bryan) endorsed Renee Swann in the Republican runoff over former U.S. Rep. Pete Sessions (R-Dallas).

CD22 open: The campaign of Fort Bend Co. Sheriff Troy Nehls released a minute-long ad, “Kathaleen’s Campaign of Lies,” hitting back at runoff opponent Kathaleen Wall’s ad criticizing him on human trafficking.

Hood Co.: Gov. Greg Abbott (R) endorsed Jack Wilson, the man who stopped an active shooter in a White Settlement church, in the Republican runoff for county commissioner over Rep. Mike Lang (R-Granbury). In a statement, Lang said it was “the price you pay for standing up to a governor who legislates.”
