Travis Co.: County Attorney David Escamilla (D) endorsed Laurie Eiserloh in the Democratic runoff over Austin council member Delia Garza.

Absentee Eligibility: The Texas Democratic Party has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to vacate (PDF) the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal’s stay in the federal vote-by-mail eligibility case. The plaintiffs-appellees are seeking to have the District Court’s preliminary injunction reinstated for next month’s primary runoff and the general elections.
